Quick Start Guide

  • Using Ultra Analog Session in standalone mode
Windows: Double-click on the 'Ultra Analog Session Demo' icon located on your desktop. Or, select 'Ultra Analog Session' from 'Start > All Programs > Ultra Analog Session Demo'.

Mac OS: Double-click on the 'Ultra Analog Session Demo' icon located in the Applications folder.

Before you start exploring the included factory presets, take a moment to setup your audio and MIDI configuration as explained below.

  • Audio configuration
Windows: Select your soundcard port from the list in the 'Audio Configuration' dialog from the 'Audio > Audio Settings...' menu.

Mac OS: Select your audio device from the list in the 'Audio Settings' dialog from the 'Audio > Audio Settings...' menu.

  • MIDI configuration
Windows: Select your MIDI port from the list in the 'MIDI Configuration' dialog from the 'MIDI > MIDI Settings...' menu.

Mac OS: Select your MIDI port from the list in the 'MIDI Settings' dialog from the 'MIDI > MIDI Settings...' menu.

  • Using Ultra Analog Session as an instrument plug-in
The Ultra Analog Session integrates seamlessly into the industry most popular multi-track recording and sequencing environments both as a virtual instrument plug-in. The Ultra Analog Session works as any other plug-in in these environments so we recommend that you refer to your sequencer documentation in case you have problems to run the Ultra Analog Session as a plug-in.

  • Using MIDI Links
Every parameter on Ultra Analog Session's interface can be linked to an external MIDI controller. To assign a MIDI Link, right-click (control-click on Mac) on a control (knob, button or slider) and a contextual menu will appear. Select Learn MIDI Link. Move a knob or slider on your MIDI controller. This will link the control of the Ultra Analog Session to the MIDI controller you just moved.

  • Using MIDI program changes
MIDI program changes have been assigned to the factory Performances. You can therefore use program changes to explore the Ultra Analog Session library.

  • Manual
The Ultra Analog Session manual is included and is accessible from the Help menu.
