  • Using Tassman as an instrument or effect plugin
The Tassman integrates seamlessly into the industry most popular multi-track recording and sequencing environments both as a virtual instrument plugin or effect. The Tassman works as any other plugin in these environments so we recommand that you refer to your sequencer documentation in case you have problem to run the Tassman as a plugin.

  • Using Performances
Tassman is a very extensive application shipped with more than 50 different synths and more than a 1000 presets. The sounds from all these different synths have been organised in Performance folders. The best way to start exploring the Tassman is to play the different Performances included with the program.

PerformancesWhen you first open the Tassman, the '> Super Model <' folder will be opened automatically in the browser. To play the Performances, just double-click on the green icons. Going from one Performance to the other will call different synth/preset combinations.

  • Using MIDI Links
Every parameter on the Player interface of Tassman can be linked to an external MIDI controller. To assign a MIDI Link, right-click (control-click on Mac) on a control (knob, button or slider) and a contextual menu will appear. Select Learn MIDI Link. Move a knob or slider on your MIDI controller. This will link the control of the Tassman to the MIDI controller you just moved.

  • Using MIDI program changes
MIDI program changes have been assigned to the factory Performances. You can therefore use program changes to explore the Tassman library.

  • Manual
The Tassman manual is included and is accessible from the Help menu.

  • Tutorials - Customize and build synthesizers
In order to learn more on how to use Tassman, we highly recommend that you try the tutorials presented in chapter 2 of the manual. Note that all the patches described in the tutorials are included in the 'Instruments > Tutorials' folder in the Tassman browser.

"Tassman for me is a unique world of sound production perfectly suited to todays' requirements in Cinema, TV , and creative electronica projects. It is an open system that begs to be programmed to one's own style. It has a sound all it's own, definitely not another copycat synth. Dance with it's technology. Empty your mind and create new soundscapes. I can't wait to use it with Thomas Newman and other composers with whom i work. The reharmonizations of Struck Instruments are unparalled. "

"The Tassman has become a permanent fixture in my studio and an invaluable tool that I use in all the areas of music that I am involved with."
