Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard compatibilty

Update / December 22, 2009

We've just release a series of updates for all our instruments that fixe the issue below. Our instruments are now fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Visit the Downloads section of the Support page to download the latest installers.

Update / October 20, 2009

We've found an issue with all our Audio Unit plug-ins under Mac OS X 10.6.

The plug-in will crash an Audio Unit host if the plug-in window is closed while the focus (the last mouse click) was in the plug-in's browser, e.g.: double-click a preset in the plug-in's browser to load it, close the plug-in window.

Workarounds

  1. Use the VST plug-in is you can. Ableton Live users can for instance.
  2. Remember to click outside the plug-in's browser (e.g.: click on the plug-in interface) before closing the plug-in window.

We are working actively to release an update as soon as possible to fix the issue. Thank you for your help and patience.

Following the release of Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) from Apple, we've conducted a series of tests on our instruments and we are happy to report that they are all fully functional on this new operating system.

Note however that many elements compose your music system. It's quite possible that you may have to update your MIDI and audio hardware drivers, host sequencer software, and other plug-ins when upgrading to Mac OS X 10.6. We recommend that you consult all the manufacturers that compose your music setup for more information about compatibility before upgrading your operating system.

While we were as thorough as possible while conducting our tests, they were done on the initial release of Mac OS X and performed on a limited set of configurations. Therefore, the information provided here doesn't constitute any warranty, expressed or implied.

Please contact us if you find any anomalies while using our instruments on Mac OS X 10.6.
